DADDY'S DANCE

Now look at the very ugly blonde woman...That is Erik. Oh yes, he dressed as a woman and did the daddy dance. He danced to It's Raining Men, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and 2 other songs. It was absolutely hilarious and I wish that everyone could have been there! The boys laughed, but Mikey could not stop laughing. I have not seen my brother that happy in years! Raegan stole the show, but it was truly something the whole family enjoyed! hehe

Rae on her "Sea Cruise"

My beautiful princess danced to "Sea Cruise" for this last recital. She did amazing. Yes, I know I always say that, but this time she truly was one of the best on the stage. She shook her booty and did her "sassy walk" better than anyone. I was ready for this to be her last recital. As you all know I am not a typical dance mom. BUT I was so impressed by how beautiful she looked, how confident she performed, and how absolutely brilliant she danced. I must say, she is not just sweet...she has it all! I am so proud of her!

Baseball Season Begins....

Baseball season has begun at the Bennett house. This means that the weather is warming up, school is coming to an end, and we get to watch our favorite players pitch, hit, and run. This year is even more special because Raegan and Erik are on the same team. In military life we do not get to be around family as often as we would like so this is very special to all of us. Also, Erik and Uncle Mike are coaching.....I will try to update everyone on the games and remind you just how amazing each and every one of them are!

Raegan's first day of preschool 2009

My little princess started preschool! I can not believe how fast my lil girl is growing up! She was so excited and so ready to go to school. I was lucky to get her to slow down so I could take a few pictures. She could not wait to get to school and start playing with her cousin, Erik, and friends. BUT when we got there she held on to my leg and was not sure she wanted me to go! I was thrilled to know that she still wanted mom around. I read her a few stories and she was done with me. She sat at a table with a friend from dance and they started playing a game. I snuck a peak as I left and she just looked so big in that classroom! Next year she starts Kindergarten...I am really gonna be a mess then!

Apple Annie's 2009

We went to Apple Annie's in Wilcox, Arizona today. Got up early and was out the door by about 8 AM and had a wonderful time. This was our first time and we were surprised at how much produce we could pick. First we got a few eggplants, then tomatoes, bell & jalepeno peppers, squash and zuchini, and then some great pumpkins. We drove to the orchard next and picked a bucket full of apples. I am excited to try some new recipes with them. We got yellow delicious, granny smith, and some other tasy apple. We also got two different kinds of jam.
I have already made some salsa with our loot and am looking forward to some more experiments this week. The kids had a great time. What a wonderful day!

Back to School

It is September and the boys have been back to school for a few weeks now and Raegan starts tomorrow. I can not believe that Brendan is in 5th grade and will be going to middle school next year. He is being pulled out for GATE and has decided he will try to play the saxophone in band. He thought about doing the trumpet like his mom, but the sax sounds so much nicer! :-) Zachary is in 3rd grade now and just turned 8 this past weekend. He has more homework than his brother and is doing amazing. He can memorize a poem after only reading it once. I am amazed at how well he is doing. Raegan starts preschool tomorrow. She is so big! She is as sweet as she is pretty. Every day I am thankful for our amazing family!

Back in Arizona

OK, we have been here for over 6 months now and it is finally starting to seem real...this is not just another vacation to visit family! The boys are settled in their new school, Raegan has started preschool, and Erik is at work. Yeppers this is our new home. Arizona this time of year is perfect, in the 80's and cooler at night. It is funny that this was Erik's first Air Force Base, where we got married...We moved to Italy from Tucson in 1996 with our dog Abbe and moved back in 2008 with 3 kids and our dog Cooper. Boy how 12 years have changed our lives.......
